Signaling

The signaling system installed in order to ensure safe movement of the traffic flows in the junctions must be appropriate and proportional to the traffic volumes at the junctions.
Signaling systems that we encounter in many places in junctions, are often fixed-time or fixed-time at certain times of the day.
Since traffic is a dynamic movement, it is not expected that the same amount and proportion of traffic flow will be in every period will. For this reason, there are mostly unnecessary waiting in the junctions or queues in some roads.

In this case, it is necessary that intersection optimization must be constantly updated and the detector sensors which are very cheap in the sections where the flow is variable must be installed.
By means of these sensors, green will light to the side arms which the traffic flows time to time will flash continuously in each period and the main road will not be cut off.
So when there is flow, green will light to the side road, main flow will see green at all other times.
In the intersections that we projected geometric design, we specify intersction types as fixed time and/or detector, we shape signalization projects accordingly.
Another important point, as the time given to the phases in the signaled intersections increases, the cycle time increases. Therefore, the time given for every phase will increase the wait times, queues and delays in the other roads. For this reason, even if there are saturated currents in all the roads, the total circuit time should not exceed 110 seconds. The goal in our optimizations is to reduce the phase and the period of the circuit.
Thus, queuing and fuel consumption will be at the lowest level as there will be no unnecessary waiting.
